Nineteenth stage Tour 2009: Avellino-Vesuvius
Great idea back in the shadow of Vesuvius for the 41st time, the first in 1909 (Rossignoli, then third in Milan, behind Ganna and Galetti). Only this time you will face the volcano with the last climb of the race 's centenary : 13 km with 967 meters of altitude, average slope of 7.4% and 12% of maximum. Moreover Peak Sant'Angelo, the 101st of 164 km, a step from Avellino suggestive that will lead to capital through Salerno, Cava dei Tirreni, Amalfi, Positano, Sorrento, Castellammare and Herculaneum: almost all the jewels that the world envies us .
